PEEP SHOW - "Out For Blood" - 2009 - Street Symphonies

There's a huge resurgeance of the 80's Sleazy Glam/Metal Rock going on around the world right now, there's some bad, some terrible, some good and some that are completely on the mark. "Peep Show" is one of them who "get it". I grew up with this style of rock, I bought up everything I could find that resembled Motley Crue or L.A. Guns, I've heard it all. These guys could have been a huge band back then, they are that good.

Frontman Johnny Glam channels the old LA days with his gravely delivery and his Nikki Sixx mystique. He's actually a very good singer with some pretty amazing range. Generally this genre is more about style over substance, but having some nice chops just adds another weapon to the aresenal. Most importantly Gunn bleeds rock n' roll in his look and voice. When you mix in the crunchy guitars of Rusty Gill, you have a nice mix "Shout At The Devil" era Crue meets Faster Pussycat. You get the idea, it's 1985 all over again, but with updated production.

Peep Show should have as much of an appeal to the guys as the girls, they're sexually charged, avoiding the sappy ballads and they're not trying to talk over our heads, they're just rocking out, kicking ass and having a fucking good time.
