How is this possible? Just when I think I've heard the best damn rock record in years, I hear another one! The Stone Gods rose from the ashes of The Darkness to blow me away, then The Answer opens for AC/DC and I can't believe how amazing they are. Airbourne also made a name for themselves thanks to so their big sound a nd live show. Now a band from Ireland seemingly comes out of nowhere with a debut that everyone should have.

Are they breaking new ground? NO! But that's the beauty of it, they are cranking out some brilliant strait-up rock. They bring you back a bit to the Bon Scott days of AC/DC, but with a Black Crowes swagger to the rock. They pack a punch and write some of the biggest hooks you're gonna ever hear. Almost every song is a fist-pumper except for a couple very nice ballads that manage to hold the cheese and keep the meat.

Singer Phil Conalane has a voice made for this music, he has the grit, the grind, the sleaze and the pipes. He's the perfect rock singer, range and balls, what else can you ask for! The band itself is very tight and the production is top-notch. Hopefully instead of this Kenny Chesney shit the States and the rest of the world starts to make ROCK their first choice in music again.
