I
can't really put a specific label on this band... sure, they're
rock, maybe some traces of Metal, but they don't really fit
any one specific genre. I'm not saying they sound like Clutch,
but I put them in a similar category, they're pretty strait
up groove oriented rock with amazing musicianship. The were
produced by David Prater, who also worked with Dream Theater,
and ironically, they have a similar vibe at times as DT at times.
"Bleechin' Bones" almost sounds like some of of DT's
later material.
Even
though Lethargy has some heavy licks, it almost has a calming
effect at time, it's produced so well and the songs are kept
at an even pace. Another band I compare them to a bit is CKY,
who also manage to fit under several categories. Having said
all this and made all these comparisons, I could also envision
the band on mainstream radio! I think maybe the production and
tones lend itself towards a more modern sound. Normally I would
say getting onto mainstream radio is a bad thing, but these
guys are very very talented with some good ideas. I think they're
only going to get better considering they're all in their teens
and early 20's.
