Italy's Killer Klown brings back memories of the down and dirty
side of the 80's rock, but they keep enough of modern elements
in the music that it reminds you that rock of this style is
truly back to stay. They have the playful sound of the 80's
and the edge of bands like Backyard Babies or Hardcore Superstar.
They avoid the cheesy rock cliches and have chosen a bad-ass
rock n' roll look over the all-out glam style. Personally I
don't care if they're wearing ballerina tights, the music rocks,
it's very very well produced and it's an album I'll be listening
too for many years.
As
far as indivdual songs, I can't say there one song that stands
out, it's pretty strong from top to bottom. I did like the opening
track "Monster Idiot" a lot. I tend to lean towards
the faster stuff too like "Demolition Man" and "Tropical
Disease", but there's plenty of great stuff here. Overall,
it's an amazing rock n' roll release. If they can get a good
tour they are bound to turn a lot of heads for fans of the 80's
and the new wave of Hard Rockers!
