In some ways Joetown is how I always wanted Black Label Society to sound. Yes, I said it, but I really like the crisper and more arena sound of Joetown. Ok, maybe the songs aren't as strong as BLS, but they're on the right track. The music is really an updated Classic Rock if that makes any sense. The use more effects and some modern elements, but the overall style if taken from the classics. Joetown has a lot of good ideas too, sometimes they work like "Crash" and "My Anger Knows No Bounds", but sometimes they get mired in medium paced tunes that drag on a bit. Overall though they are very refreshing, talented and I am really looking forward to hearing what they do next, and in this oversaturated music world, that's all you can ask for anymore!
