TWISTED SISTER - "Live At The Astoria" - DVE

Much to the dismay of countless music "critics", Twisted Sister has survived over 3 decades of turmoil and trends to remain one to the biggest acts in Rock and Metal. How have they done it? Well, their live shows have always been their bread and butter. Dee Snider's charisma literally reaches out and punches you in the face! Love him or hate him he is an amazing frontman, who still has more energy than bands 30 years younger! It is very apparent on "Live At The Astoria", the songs are faster, heavier and darker than the recorded versions with some very cool variations to the classic TS songs we all love. Having said that, they don't get so damn creative that they ruin the songs, and songs like "We're Not Gonna Take It", they barely stray from the origina.

For those who consider them hacks, J.J. French and Eddie Ojeda's guitar work is pretty damn solid! A.J. Pero literally pounds the shit out of the drums and provides the band with a punch. You can hate the music, but you can't deny that they are very good at what they do. They can get a crowd more fired up than anybody out there, something a lot of new bands could take some lessons at.

Even though this footage is actually 4 years old now, this is the first time it's been released to the public, on DVD and CD. So pick it up and enjoy an evening with one of the greats, Twisted Sister, and if you don' t like it, as Mr. Snider might say, "go fuck yourself".
