THE BONES - "Strait Flush Ghetto" - LIQUOR & POKER

HOLY FUCK! This IS Rock N' Roll! Catchy hooks, fuel-injected guitars and a bad-ass attitude that is will have you laying down getting a tattoo of the band on your ass before you know it. FUCK these guys are good! If you can seriously get by "Do You Wanna..." without having to listen again you need your head examined. They have a trace of Social Distortion without all the whining and speed it up with riffs that make Green Day look like Pussies... wait, they're already pussies, but that's beside the point. I guess my best explanation of this is B-Movie Rock N' Roll, it's fast, furious and fun. Some of the songs like "Dog Almighty" and "Bottle Cry Salute" would be like Elvis singing for Motorhead.

They sing about chicks and fast cars, a concept that NEVER get's old! I should warn you, driving while listening to this CD WILL cause you to get a speeding ticket. You may also tell the copper to fuck off while you're at it. They have all the precision of some of the fellow Swedish Metal bands so you can't truly call them "punk", they're much more talented than that. They're too fuckin' mean to be Glam and their to heavy for Rockabilly, but somehow all the previously mention genres should except them.

I sincerely hope this is the direction Rock is going, which some might say is a retro sound and going backwards, but Rock N' Roll has never been broken, so there's no need to fix it, all you need to do it update it a little. "Strait Flush Ghetto" is a soundtrack to a party, you will have people of all ages and backgrounds going fucking nuts if you put this in and mix in a little alcohol. Before I go I need to get another one of these in... FUCK THESE GUYS ARE GOOD!
